Job Description
We are a multilingual, internationally based family seeking a warm, responsible, and English-fluent live-in nanny to provide full-time care for our infant in Manila. Beyond daily caregiving, you will play a key role in our child's early language development, creating an immersive English-speaking environment at home.
About the Role
This is more than a traditional nanny position. We are looking for someone who can combine attentive infant care with intentional English language exposure — reading, singing, narrating daily activities, and engaging in age-appropriate educational play. Think of it as a blend of a nurturing caregiver and an early childhood English tutor.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide loving, attentive daily care for an infant, including feeding, bathing, nap routines, and safety supervision
- Create a consistent English-speaking environment throughout the day — narrating activities, reading stories, singing songs, and engaging in conversational play
- Plan and carry out age-appropriate developmental activities (sensory play, motor skill exercises, early literacy)
- Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating environment for the child
- Track developmental milestones and communicate regularly with parents
- Assist with light household duties related to the child (laundry, bottle preparation, nursery tidying)
- Accompany the family on outings and travel when needed
Requirements
- Fluent, natural English speaker — clear pronunciation, strong vocabulary, and comfortable speaking English throughout the day
- At least 2 years of experience as a nanny, yaya, or childcare professional caring for infants (0–2 years)
- Genuine love for children with a patient, gentle, and proactive personality
- Basic knowledge of infant development and age-appropriate stimulation techniques
- Clean personal habits, non-smoker
- Willing to live in (private room and meals provided)
- Reliable, trustworthy, and respectful of family privacy
Highly Desirable
- Background in early childhood education, English teaching (ESL/TESOL), or child development
- Experience working with multicultural or multilingual families
- First aid or basic life support (BLS) certification
- Additional language skills (Mandarin is a bonus but not required)
What We Offer
- Competitive monthly salary (above market rate for qualified candidates)
- Private room and all meals provided (live-in arrangement)
- 13th month pay and paid leave in accordance with Philippine labour law
- A supportive, respectful family environment
- Opportunity for long-term employment and professional growth
